Khan Do Kwan Founder Javed Khan Inducted into Martial Arts Hall of Honors

Las Vegas, Nevada — Khan Do Kwan founder Grandmaster Javed Khan was honored with the 2026 Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Legacy Award and inducted into the American Martial Arts Alliance Foundation’s Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Hall of Honors.

For Khan, the recognition represented a remarkable full-circle moment in a martial arts journey spanning several decades.

Growing up in India, Khan often searched paper scrap dealers for used martial arts magazines, saving whatever money he could to purchase copies and learn about the great martial artists of the era. Their stories, accomplishments and dedication helped fuel a passion that would eventually lead him to a lifetime in the martial arts—and ultimately to the creation of Khan Do Kwan.

Decades later in Las Vegas, Khan found himself meeting, exchanging stories and sharing the stage with some of the very martial artists he once knew only through the pages of those magazines.

“As a young martial artist, I could never have imagined where this journey would take me,” Khan said. “To now stand alongside people I once read about and admired is both humbling and deeply meaningful.”

Khan expressed his appreciation to Grandmaster Jessie Bowen and Grandmaster Lawrence Arthur for facilitating the honor and for their dedication to preserving martial arts history and recognizing those who have contributed to it.

The recognition reflects a principle that has remained at the heart of Khan Do Kwan since its creation:

“With every difficulty is ease.”

A journey that began with a young martial artist searching for knowledge continues today through the generations who carry Khan Do Kwan forward.
